JL - 12.5.10 It's certainly not my favourite location but today Dent Head was about the only place where late morning sun looked probable. My final shot of the morning before I gave it up as a bad job and travelled home with complete cloud cover overhead. An unidentified FHH 66 crosses Dent Head viaduct with 6Z73 Killoch - Drax loaded coal.

JL - 11.3.10 After the dissapointing result just north of Blea Moor I moved slighty further north for the Dent Head viaduct shot. 66560 is seen crossing the structure which is picked out nicely by clear March light with the 4M75 Leeds Stourton - Carlisle Yard FHH coal empties.

JL - 2.5.09 There was plenty of cloud around this weekend and no luck what so ever with the 47 hauled railtour which had just worked north. However, I did get some decent light for a wide-angle view of Dent Head viaduct and Dentdale as an unidentified FHH 66 worked south on 6Z73 Killoch - Ratcliffe.

JL - 21.10.08 After a long hail shower the black clouds cleared and gave way to bright clear Autumnal skies. Needless to say that the long period unbroken sunshine which followed coincided perfectly with absolutley no traffic of any description! Just as the sunshine arrives an unidentified Northern liveried 158 unit worked noth over Dent Head viaduct on the 09.47 Leeds - Carlisle semi-fast.

JL - 26.9.08 I'm a big fan of this shot at Dent Head, especially when photographing the service trains. Autumnal colours are starting to appear on some of the trees as an unidentified ex-Wessex Alphaline 158 unit heads north on the 09.47 Leeds - Carlisle semi-fast.

JL - 26.9.08 One of only two southbound coal workings today. 66558 rolls south across Dent Head viaduct on the 6M32 Greenburn - Ratcliffe loaded FHH coal service. On this occasion this train wasn't looped at Blea Moor and ran straight through.

JL - 9.8.07 A stuffy August day sees an unidentified ex-central trains 158 unit cross Dent Head viaduct forming the 08.53 Carlisle - Leeds service.
